The Restoration of the MV Ross Revenge: 24th August 2008
The second visit of the month over the
August Bank Holiday weekend in the UK continued with further work to the
gunwhales on the starboard side. The starboard side of the superstructure
just in front of the boat deck was tidied up and repainted as well. More
work was also undertaken on the winch and the trawling wires which had lay
on the deck in an untidy heap were cut into smaller pieces and stacked just
in front of the exhaust stack. Work was also started on the ship's mast
removing the trawler colour. Crispin Bardsley from Dumfries became the
newest member of the restoration crew to join in the work. The radio station
was broadcasting from the ship over the weekend and Top 15 VIP winner Martyn
Wise joined the crew for a bit of work and the honour of broadcasting his
own Top 15 in the studio with Cliff Osbourne.
